Good thing they opened that back dock or there wouldn't have been room to move.

Great job guys. I spoke to the organizers and they say they brought in about five thousand dollars and still had another one thousand in bids to still collect on for the Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Center. All the TCG models we donated are gone and there are about 70 comic books left. I'll pick those up today and have them ready fro LL. Sorry about the heat but like I said, thank god for that back dock area. Thanks for coming out and suffering the heat.
Big thanks to my wife Tiff who's wrangling allowed me to suit up for a change.

Thanks again troops, job well done.

Mission Report:
Event Title:
Caleb's 5th Birthday

Date:
08-22-10

Point of Contact:
Barry Chan TS 1588

Event Rundown:
Weather was warm but a cool breeze helped a lot. I arrived early to meet the family, Amy and Jeff Gold and scope out our staging area. We had 1/2 of the garage which was great. The Biffaths arrived and we all suited up for a 1PM appearance. There were plenty of surprised kids--and parents with big smiles.

Caleb is such a cool kid and was very happy to see us and donned his Maul costume soon after. He even had two red sabers of course. Gabe fought off kids with inflatable sabers and David joined him playing video games with Caleb.

We did a short bucket off period to assure a few kids hiding out that we're just regular people under the plastic and they eventually came around. I think the Blizzard Force tattoos I handed out helped.

After the kids pulverized the Vader piņata, we all gathered for group pix and it was time to wrap it up. They parents could not thank us enough. I gave a pile of stickers and tattoos to Jeff for Caleb. He said Caleb will really like this! And Jeff's father was so happy with us he is gonna make a donation to MaW.

Unfortunately, as were were packing up, the parents had to rush Caleb to emergency room as he had a sudden high fever and was gasping for air. I followed up with Amy but have not heard how Caleb is doing.

Big thanks to the Biffaths for coming out and making this a successful party for a great little SW fan.
